Why do young students especially benefit from fun worksheets? Because first grade spelling students and second grade spelling students have so much to learn! As we all know, once young minds get distracted, it can be very difficult to get them back on track! When students see the same familiar formats over and over, as in many workbooks, it is all too easy for them to yawn, scribble a bit and move on to something more interesting.
Scheduled Homework Time. There should be one designated time each day in which homework must be completed. Keep your child to a tight schedule when it comes to homework. A regular homework time will set a pattern that will sustain her for life. The completion of homework usually means a rise in grades.
The simply constructed traditional math worksheets only require students to focus on answering the problem. We need children to understand the concept, be engaged, and have fun doing it.
Control Extra Curricular Activities.Extra curricular activities are wonderful. When those activities, however, begin interfering with academics, it is time to set limits. If your child is having a difficult time maintaining good grades, make sure he/she is only participating in 1 activity outside of school. This will ensure there is enough time to complete homework and study for tests.
2) Good worksheets use a variety of formats. If you have offered a standard word search puzzle every week for the past eight weeks, kids might not get real excited with the same thing on week number nine. Instead, ask students to unscramble some words, find spelling words hidden inside a picture, supply missing letters, and correct spelling mistakes. Ask them to fit words from a word box into a puzzle-y shape. Ask kids to decode a hidden message.
In today’s age where kids are glued to digital devices, let them disconnect and benefit from the beauty of a stimulating activity. Engage them to learn something valuable. Transform their learning experience with the simple, fun and creative worksheets for kids.
